Initial Officer Training Overview B asic recruit training for officers is Initial Officer Training (IOT) and is designed to prepare you for life as a leader. It is a 24 week course comprising three, 8-week terms.
The Course is delivered by experienced and highly trained RAF personnel. When the Royal Air Force is not on operations, it is training.
